Darwin Streaming Server

This is for all the networking people. I am trying to stream a video over the Internet using the Darwin Server.


Does anyone know how I can get my stream across the Internet?

I am able to stream to VLC player from a Darwin Streaming Server on the same network but I don't really know how to get it broadcast to a compuer running VLC at a friends house.

You'll need to make sure there's a passthrough on your router on the correct ports, and you'll also need to address your external IP address, not your internal (which will most likely start with 192.168.x.x) - as the internal address cannot be carried over the net.
