Dash fog light issue

Got a new niggle now which is my fog light on the dash is flicking on and off with the hazards but only dim.

Have no idea where to even start anyone got any ideas have failed the mot on this .

I'm making an educated guess that you have a bad earth in/near the rear light units.

Try taking rear light units off disconnect the wiring and spray connections with contact cleaner. Might be dirt or condensation causing the problems. My fog light on the dash lit up dimly when braking and contact cleaner fixed that.

Swapped the lights over and its fixed the problem on the dash but now my fog light wont work?

Tried swapping the bulbs over with no luck. Its not meant to be a bulb with the 2 elements in it is it? It was working before and I have swapped bulbs now as well.

Are the passenger and drivers side bulb unit bit the exact same?
