the dci 65 has no intercooler, the 80 does, 80 also runs on 0.2bar more turbo pressure, but has the same turbo as the 65.
Diffrent injectors too, and diffrent injection pressure.
and as mentioned^^ diffrent gearbox, dci65= valver
dci80= williams/rs
The 80BHP is fitted with the slightly bigger KKK 5435 970 0002 unit
The 80bhp was derived from the 65bhp version, the 80bhp version of the K9K engine includes specific developments in the areas of air supply and injectors + the intercooler allows the temperature of incoming air, and therefore of combustion, to be reduced, to the benefit of efficiency. The intercooler is associated with a new setting for the turbocharger wastegate allowing higher boost pressure (1.2 bar maximum compared with 1.05 bar for the 65bhp version).
The injectors use the same technology as in the 65bhp version, but they have been developed to offer a higher flow rate. The holes in the injector nose in the 80bhp version are therefore larger, allowing a 15% greater flow rate by comparison with the 65bhp version
65 runs 1.15 bar boost depends on rpm but that about what it stabiliises at.
80 runs about 0.1 bar more.
65 doens't have an intercooler
The 80 have the intercooler and a bigger set of injectors plus mapped and a different gearbox that all ther differences though engine are much the same realy.
