dci electrics going mad on attempted start up! HELP

Hi all, this is really starting to piss me off now, it first started with the fuel needle spazzing out hit the bottom of the dial on stsrt up( also resets my mpg/ mile ometer )

now im getting all the relays or one loud one spazzing out when i try to start the car . To add to that it makes the dash clocks flicker allthe lights.

Turn everything off , take key out. Put it back in and try to crank and it wont do anything.

One more ( third time lucky ) it will start but makes the spazzing out electrics noise and the dash clocks again flicker.

Also noticed my headlights flicker when the engine is running.

Any suggestions? Or do i have to take the uCH out and faf about checking all the wiring loom?

I'd be checking all the earth points first , under bonnet , engine and gearbox ect

Mine does the same and from what iv read its the uch but ill be keeping an eye on this thread

Yup I'd be checking the earths as well, the main one can look ok but not be

Iv had every earthpoint in the engine bay off?
Bottom one ( gearbox to chasis ) i changed for a chunky jumpstarter cable
top one i took of and cleaned both contacting points with the bench wirebrush wheel

unless theres another earth from uch to body?

It's there some interior loom earth's like inside footwells near UCH and also drivers side. Also i take it the UCH needs a big fat earth so check that wiring to.

how old is the battery? i'd be checking that aswell

dashboard came out today, i had a few destroyed wires hiding. obviously arcing out on metal when i parked at funny angles

also found the damaged wires to my passenger door speaker after a year of giving up on that.

and for peace of mind, iv added a bigger earth to the UCH.

no electrical faults now. BUT had to order a new headlight relay, its destroyed that


P.S renault! sort your acts out and put some proper insulating tape around the loom!
