de-cat/induction kit

Hi,

Is it worth de-catting and added a viper induction kit to my 182? will it add much performance? or is it jst a waste of money and just stick to being standard?

I'd say decat and panel filter too. I don't think the decat is as effective on a 182 due to it already having a sport cat on it

Yep...I believe the cat on the 182 has less cpi than the 172 one

On my 182 the catalyst alone made a huge diffecerence in the low and middle rpms...

The decat would give more power,but with the cat you're passing the mot.

Actually a lot of these so called 'sports cats' don't pass MOT emissions tests.

We have not had one of our sports cat fail an MOT test yet and we are also a certified MOT testing station.

Having said that I have received some "sport cat" samples this week and they look awful.

u'd get more benefit doing those mods and getting a remap. That would make most out the mods.

the filter will make a small difference providing u do a good CAF!! the de cat will also give u a small improvement!! from what i hear the Inlet manifold gives ok gains and also a re map :)

as said b4 every little helps :)
 
some 182's have hardly noticed a gain from the inlets matched as the RS inlets are very good from the start .

i had a decat and a k&n induction kit a while ago. no difference im performance at all, just noise, used more petrol, more heat soak so probably more sluggish im lower revs. sold it all now. running a itg pannel filter in standard air box and removed my acoustic valve. works a treat, more mpg, more responsive throttle :)
