De-Cat pipes

I am right in thinking that fitting a de-cat pipe will mean you fail your MOT due to emissions?

How does everyone get round this?

if your car is later than 91 and was fitted with a cat it will probably fail the mot on emmissions if a de-cat is fitted

simple solution is to fit the cat back on for the mot its only a ten minute job
