I've got my car booked in to check an exhaust blow next week and I thought I might get the cheap eBay cat replaced with a 100cel sports cat, welded into a spare decat pipe I've got lying around.

I'm not overly concerned about emissions as the tests here literally take 10 minutes so I don't think they bother checking unless the car is belching smoke.

Will my secondary O2 sensor be an issue? I've read multiple conflicting reports across the internet (including here) that it will either run fine, or will throw up a check engine light.

If the secondary O2 sensor is tucked away reading fresh air, as I've seen suggested, surely that would produce an unexpected reading just as having it behind a less efficient catalytic converter?

Thoughts?

I've got a Magnaflow sports cat welded into my milltek downpipe, the Magnaflow P/N is #59956. It passed an MOT fine and didn't have an issue with the secondary O2 sensor, however when Chris at EFI mapped it (500 miles post MOT) he turned off the post cat O2 just incase it flashed up and EML in future
