DE-CAT PIPES

I have finally decided to down the "de-cat route" after hearing a fair few good things about them!

Which de-cat pipe should I consider for my 1-4 RT Clio? - bear in mind I dont want to be having to spend a small fortune !

Has any one had any problems?

Thanks :)

  Skoda Fabia vRS

ive got the Hill Power one on mine.........

http://www.hillpower.co.ukwww.hillpower.co.uk

K-Tec also do em.......but being stainless steel ive heard they can be raspy.....but it will last forever so there you go...

if they pass the MOT then yea!

i got one on my 1.4RT and it makes a bit of difference to acceleration but its mainly noise!

is there a lor of noise tho? i mean i have a back box already but it aint that loud as my cat is new. will a de-cat pipe give it a better sound??

also... where do u people get em from? ive been lookin on the net all day (in work!!!) and i cant find em n e where! specially not for a 99 1.4 rt clio!

thanks

well k-tec one is bout 2cm too short but we still managed to fit it fine!

there is a difference in noise! a lot louder and bit of rasp but that goes once its all sooted up!

I like mine but it tends to make the car back fire when coming off high revs in second, is this normal. Have got a Hillpower one and it fits fine !

its not a back fire.

The clio when at any speed above idle rpm and with no throttle it cuts fuel off entirely, thus when you touch the throttle a tiny bit you can get it to just about inject fuel but not burn it.....pop.

so u boys think i should get on the phone to k-tec????????

what about fitting?? will any exhaust place whack it on for me??

Hey I aint no woman!!!

Just my cars been dropped 60mm and is pretty low so i cant get under it and as i dont have a trolley jack or axel stand then this is my main problem!

Will the K-Tec de-cat pipe fit my standard exhaust???
