Dead clio?

I was driving over a speed bump reeeallly slowly, then heard large thump like I'd hit it too hard.

I took it out of gear and pulled to a stop, then when I went to pull away again, I got no movement at all and a metallic grinding noise.

The engine revs fine, the car rolled fine out of gear, the clutch goes in and out fine, and gear changes are fine. Just no drive.

I had a quick look at the driveshafts which looked ok but it was dark.

Any ideas forum? The car is a 1.6 clio 2005. Had been fine up until now.

I hit a pot hole and it killed the clutch...

Had people tell me the release bearing could be knocked out...

Just had a new clutch and bearing fitted... and was fine again...

Mechanic said the clutch was fairly worn and although unusual... the pot hole had just finished if off...

The gear selector has probably had a wack as its under the gearbox and prone to damage by speedbumps, check it first.

  Polo + Micra
i snapped both the drive shafts in my 1.6

they looked fine as the cv boot was holding them inplace but they did move about when checked

You said it won't drive. So id say its driveshaft or gearbox because
1)you said the clutch is fine
2)you said gearchange feels fine
