Defacer worth changing?

The 172 is due belts in the next month or so, is it worth doing the dephaser at the same time? the car has covered 76k. It will be going to Birchdown as usual.

IMO 100% yes.

It will be sods law that after getting everything changed the dephaser will go.

Im changing mine overtime i get my belts done

Was my kind of my thinking. I know some go on for ever but suppose not worth the risk at this age and mileage. It will be 2020 by the time they are due again if it's still going!

Yes. Someone had spent over a grand on one of mine before getting the belts done at renault.

Few thousand miles later and the dephaser started rattling like a t**t. Had to stump up again...
