I think that depends on how well the engine has been kept so far, has it had the services on the correct intervals etc?
No one can really say get it done or don't. If it's noisy then definitely 160 well spent. If it's quiet it's kind of at your discretion. The next time you'll be having both belts according to schedule will be 124K or 2017... (5 years/72K whatever's first). If it goes before then obviously you'll need the whole lot doing earlier.
I'm guessing not as it's a 172 and hasn't had the belts changed yet.
Bingo! Also if your doing 6k oil changes or pushing above and beyond the 12k intervals comes into it!
i change the oil and filters every 5k. i've had the car since 41k. no serv history from previous owner

If your having your belts done change the dephaser, you will only pay again if it's noisy just after te cambelt change, this does happen.
