Diagnostics reading - upstream oxygen sensor

Hi just had my car plugged into comuter due to a misfire and i came back as 'upstream oxygen sensor' is this the lambda sensor or something else? any help would be much appreciated as id rather try fix it myself instead of paying someone else, especially if its only a faulty lambda.

cheers buddy, am i right in thinking the second one doesnt really do much anyway? think a swap over might sort it?

second lambda (post cat) does nothing mate. All you'll get is the managment light on if it wasn't there. Just swap them over. Not sure if it's a pain to do on the 172 though. Make sure you have a blow torch handy as they can be a bugger to remove.
