dials going irratic!

after about 15 minutes of driving every day to and from work my car has been doing some strange stuff...
my speedo, rev counter, and petrol gauge drop to nothing even tho im driving 30mph!!! After a few minutes, it goes back to normal, until the airbag light comes on, then the ABS light along with the clock flashing!!! performance is fine and ive had a new alternator a month back. Does anyone know what the problem is?

106gti. if anyone could help it would be great as peugeot wana charge me £58 + VAT just to plug in some computer that finds the problem is!!! Which I wreckon is just a money grabbin scheme (they have to make easy money some how to pay for all the staff), considering it will only take 5 mins to plug the thing in and do the job!.

sounds like a faulty instrument panel or a bad connection to it.

had a (slightly) similar prob wen i removed my standard stereo from my clio mate, speedo died as soon as it was removed cos of the auto-volume thingy that turns it up as speed increases!
