Diamondbrite thoughts?

Hi all

I have a full diamondbrite kit to apply the coating/treatment that I bought for cost a couple of years ago in a previous job. Assuming the stuff is still in date ( haven't checked yet ) has anyone had previous experience with it? I am looking at getting a 182 very shortly and getting it professionally applied / applying it myself once purchased.

I wouldn't go out and buy it, but if you've got it there's no harm in using it.

It won't last 3 years though or whatever gumf they tell you.

Ok thanks, interesting hearing it's not that good stuff considering the cars that it was being applied to at an extra cost to the customer at the time...

The dealership I used to work for charged £399 for it! You can buy it on ebay for £20.

You're much better off waxing it and sealing it with good quality products. Or if you're after long term protection, find a detailer near you that can supply and apply ceramic coatings. They last ages and are actually worth it.

Yes I think it was around that price or may be even more expensive lol. I ahve got a garage full of other cleaning stuff which I normally use, I wont bother if its not any good. Which dealer and franchise buddy, are you still in the motor trade?

This was a Renault Main Dealer. I'm still in the trade, been in it for 14-ish years now.

Massive waste of money.

Your better off asking a detailer to go to the dealership and prep the car ready for when you collect it.

Cool I'm 9ish and counting, not done anything else but motor trade in working life. Now work for well known German manufacturer's, but previous experience is all British stuff.

Looks great Austin, awesome reflections in the paint showing in the images. How is it holding up?
