Diff at fault?

Getting this noise when moving both the wheels 1 at a time while in the air.

Also got a clunking when pulling off and coming to a stop.

2003 172 cup.

That noise is the same one they all make when you rotate one wheel back and forth.

It could have got some wear internally within the diff though if it’s particularly loud.
Ok. That puts my mind at ease a little.

I'll pop in work sunday and have ot back in air. See if i can erradicate the clunking/knocking.

I know the exh mounts are shot so start there. Plus got a poly top engine bush to fit.

Don't forget engine/gearbox mounts if you're getting clunking when pulling off.

and take any bits of junk out the car, you'd be pissed if it was a can of coke you'd forgotten about knocking around

Dog bones already poly. So ill do the engine one.
