Difference between grey and black insert xenon's

Is there and difference between the two apart from the coloured inserts ??

Blacks are from the 172 and Grey from the 182 iirc. That the only difference.

The black ones secure the bulb ever so slightly differently, however all the bulbs, ballasts and ignitors are the same on both.

I'm not sure the plastic ring or the two metal clips for the bulb is totally dependant on colour
