difference in xenon headlights

is there any difference between the grey and black surround xenon headlights other than the simple colour difference?

just looking to know if anyone had problems with them or if the 2 lamps are identical for fitting onto a 2002 clio

only thing ive noticed is that the grey surround ones seem to be on the newere versions of the mk2 from 2004 on but just wondered if they could be retro fitted to an 02 without bother?

grey are on 182s iirc, otherwise identical

thats what id thought. was just wonderin if reno did anything else other than change the surround with those lights in case i had to buy a black surround set
