Different shades of Iceberg Silver?

I have 2 Silver 172 clios, both coded as 640, both 2002/02 MY's. However when parked next to each other, one has a distinctly blueish tinge, its not even what I would percieve as a slight difference as you would expect between cars of the same colour that came off the production lines at different times.
Anyone else come accross this or is it my eyes?!!

are you sure one of them isnt Titanium silver the slightly bluer colour is definitely Iceburg though, Titanium is a more brighter silver.

there is prob 5 different shades of this colour in the paintshop i work at!! when you look at the shades you wouldnt belive the difference!!! this comes about because when the car is built in the factory every time they mix more paint to paintmaybe 2000 cars its slightly different!! thats why i have 5 or 6 diferent variants to chose from if a car your color came in for some work!!! theres only one shade of inferno orange and its miles out in our paint so i will contact the paint company and if there are enough caomplaints about this they will bring out a new vairiant!

I will get some pics up when ive washed them both to see if the differnce shows up on camera.
As you mention above, im aware that shades vary dependning on the mix and also what paint was in the system previously. Just seemed a fairly distinct difference that could be seen without having to have the cars next to each other.

My ph2 172 53 plate silver has a blueish tinge to it but I have also noticed that the front arches and spoiler is a bluer colour than the other paintwork...no one notices it but I do

Every single panel on my car looks a different colour in certain light. Its just one of those colours.

ive noticed it mainly on the silver sports that the front of the car usually looks a slightly diffrent colour to the rest of the car.

would irritate me tbh. i imagine the paint takes diffrently to the plastic and the metal?

very true! espesially with silver!!!! some times when you take pictures of a car the camera will pick up differences in colour better than your eye can! im a painter and do lots of estimates and have to send images of the damage to the insurance company,the amount of times i look at the pics on the computer and see the colour diff is unreal!!! i go out and look at the car again and then i can see it!!! maybe a good trick if you looking to buy a car!!! tak lots of images and look at them on your pc!!!

My ns quarter and bonnet look nothing lyk the rest ov the car when its clean and the sun hits it! The rest has a blueish tinge and am sick ov my m8s sayin its 2 cars welded 2gether lol!! They sharp shut up wen i leave them on b roads tho
