Different width tyre track on rear from the front?

Is it ok to run a 205/45/16 on the rear wheels and a 195/45/16 on the front wheels! What wrong is it doing if it isn't?

Strangely enough, I had some new 205's fitted on the rear while keeping 195's on the front of my 172 on Friday. So I will tell you in a few weeks!

Couple of weeks on and everything is fine. Looking forward to getting some 205's on the front now...

nothings wrong with it atall, just runs a slightly different ratio, same as puttin staggered wheels on

anyone notice the difference going from 195 to 205, have to say i don't think I did.

I wasn't expecting any problems either, although I did wonder if 40 series tyres would have been better. The sidewall on the 45s looks a bit too chunky...
