Dixons Online....GREAT!!!!

B

Brown.

I went into currys tuther day with the intention of spennding £999 on the new LG 42'' 1080p thats been released....the guy i was dealing with obvioulsy hates his job and showed me the dixons online price at 825!!!! i then proceeded to make the order online, noticing a discount code AW20 giving me a further 20 off.......so 805 is what al be paying, spose with dixons only being online, and having no overheads, they can have a massively lower price.

so anyone thinking about getting any electrical applience, go into the normal shops for recce but buy it from dixons online to save mega bucks.

I AM NO WAY AFFILIATED WITH DIXONS IN ANY WAY, I JUST DONT SEE WHY OTHER NAMED COMPANYS CAN JUSTIFY THE EXTRA COST, AND WISH TO SAVE MY FELLOW CS'S MONEY....enjoy :p

its the difference between walking into currys and walking out with your tv and ordering it and waiting. Dixons is also internet only apart from a very small number of stores mainly in airports.

I do work in currys im affraid to admit.

BTW currys and pc world shouldnt match dixons, company policy has changed now.

arent pc world currys dixons all owned by the same company anyway?

sure i read it somewhere.

Dixons tends to be the cheapest of the lot with sometimes really good online prices

Buying from John Lewis also makes a lot of sence, ordered my 50" plasma from them a few years back. Got them to price match, free delivery and 5 years 'old for new' warranty.

Not sure there are any more - i think they have been re-branded "Currys Digital" or something like that.

I did the same a couple of years ago with my TV. Looked at curries, then came home and ordered from Dixons on-line. Even did teh same when i needed a new wall bracket for a TV 6 months ago - just over half the price it was in store.

exactly as above, No dixons stores besides one in london (i believe) and the others in airports duty free etc... All now currys digitals.

Only dixons atore left wont be there for longer.....ONLY WEB BASED....means cheaper priced as they work straight from the warehouses, no overheads to pay like, rent/ building costs. so the guy from currys told me....all old dixons buildings are currys digital.
