DIY colourcoding - should I polish?

I've been colourcoding the bump strips on my car myself, using aerosol paint.

They're all lacquered up now, just thinking what should I put on them to protect them now?

Or should I wait for a while?

I'd imagine nothing for a while, although they're best left to cure before you actually drive around with them but obviously this isn't always possible.

Try and leave it 30-60 days before you apply any wax's

They could be polished with a polish that doesn't contain any waxes straight away.

Can you recommend anything in particular? I only have SRP and EGP currently.
