I'm planning on ordering a new dog bone mount tomorrow but need to know wether they come ready to fit from the stealers?

Are Renault the best place to buy from or is there anyone cheaper?

I'm a little concerned about the movement transfer to other mounts with the Ktec items.

Don't think they are £37 anymore, I need one and have been told they've gone up, a lot :(

The reno one will be good for a couple of years... its only circa 3+ yr old cars that seem to have the problem. Think i'd rather buy a new mount every now and again then put up with extra vibrations and transfer of stresses as said above... My new ones goin on this week :D

attempts to stop the engine moving back when accelerating... just the bushings fitted become worn which means the engine/box moves back also making the gear stick move and knocks... in mk1's they often seem to make it hard to select gears and can cause problems with the exhaust as the mainfold moves with the engine etc.... putting stress on the exhaust system... hope that summed it up!

  titanium 182,
i have seen clio g/box casings broken around were the dog bone mount bolts up 2 probably from unnecessary wheel spinning,
not sure if i would want to risk putting harder bushing in there

How much to change the dog-bone mount then?

Or how long to do....and is it difficult?

is it difficult?

just 2 bolts... very easy, just stops engine slap so its not doing any supporting as such when the car is stationary... unbolt the old and bolt in the new... jack up the front and put it on axcel stands then takes about 5-6 mins.... :)

Anyone got a pic of the part in question and where it fits.:S
Sorry to sound thick - only time I open the bonnet is to fill up the wash/wipe fluid!!!
