stick it in the washing machine- suposed to be fine for it.

then u need to get some new oil (the special K&N stuff).

what sort of filter have you got?

Is it a replacement panel filter element, or an induction kit?

If its an induction kit, it is usually just held on with a big hose clip, which you will just need a hose clip driver for, and then pop out the 2 breather hoses. This is what my K & N was like anyway.

If its a panel filter element (using the existing airbox) then you just have to undo the 3 plastic finger screw things, and unclip all of the metal clips surrounding the airbox. then the front cover comes of the box. You can now pull out the filter element and put the new one in.

Hope this helps.

Chris.

the leaflet with mu k&N filter tells you to only clean it every 50,000 miles!

not overconfident anout that advice but if its what they say then I will go with it.

Cl;ean it the right way as well so youre not just pushing dirt further in.

And DONT over-oil it whatever you do or youll make the breathing worse (I know cos I did it once!)

Can you get cleaning kits? Mine cxould do with a clean.

I presume the oil comes with the cleaning kit? Where can you get them from?
