Do i need to wash my miracle dryer before use?

Just got one thorugh the post today, should i wash it before i use it for the sake of the lint and what not ??

first time i used my 'der wunder' towels i got a lot of lint on the paint. i suppose a wash wouldnt go a miss, just dont use fabric softener!
