Do i stick with carbon or paint my cover?

  VRS

also if i do keep the carbon cover, im weighing up whether to cut a hole to allow easy access to topping up the oil! wht do you rekon?

personally I would get the oe one sprayed the same as the car and the strut brace, and change the hill bend for a blue or black one.

imo....when the covers are painted it can look a bit tacky and cheap....if you get the manifold looking like a mirror then i suggest to leave the cover of completely.

what do you rekon about cutting a hole in it? its just that i have to take the brace off to remove the cover!

i dont really like them carbon covers personally..
think it makes everything look to dull and dark. but thats just my 2p's worth :)

not sure how much im gonna like mine colourcoded either really..
think they look ok silver..

just hoping my mate is sending off soon to have more bits chromed so i can throw some of my bolts in his order to be done.

i'd have it sprayed diagonally with a blend fade from racing blue into carbon if you understand what i mean?

like this?

mint.. will be able to see the carbon weave through the blue where it fades too.

I like Fred's idea...

might nick it for my car actually. ;)

if you get them to thin the paint down a lot you should be able to still see the carbon weave through the silver in bright sunlight ;)

Like the fade to, not sure on the diaginal though. I would fade it front to back straight across.

what sort of paint would i need to use cos the cover does warm up after running it for a while? would i need a different paint to that which would be used on the bodywork?
