Do the seats have covers on them?

The leather has worn a bit on the drivers seat on my 172 and wanna get it reapolstered by my ampolsterer, but are they covers that can by pulled off or they stuck to the seats? also is it hard to pull the back bit off the bottom part of the seat to get it out of the car?
