Not noticed a difference when the airs damp, jus wen its cold. Mine sounds better know iv got a 172 grill and relocation pipe, jus sits right were it can get loadsa air
Air is more dense when its cold, just after it has been raining the moisture content of the air will be greater....not a great thing for the engine btw.
When the air is denser is contains more oxygen molecules (as well as others, but oxyge is what we are interested in), per unit volume.
