Do you have clear or orange side repeaters on your red 172?

  BMW Z4 3.0i
I have an '03 172 which I bought 2nd hand. It has clear side repeaters and I'd always assumed this was standard for the colour (as on the black ones). I saw a pic in the media forum of a red 172 with orange repeaters and was confused. So I've has a look on autotrader and there's a real mix. some have clear, some have orange. So what did they come with as standard? Did they introduce white around 02/52 or what?

cars 52 on have clear side repeaters iirc, although some 52 plates have the orange. Difficult to clearly differentiate as when a car was registered has no bearing on when it was built.

Dyanmique's etc were the same, depends on build dates but as a general rule they changed between 52 and 03 I believe. My early 03 Dynamique had clears.

Mine is an oct 2002 172 and still has orange repeaters

Are they difficult to change?

my nov 02 52 had orange, piss easy to change, 5 minute job, they just pull out and undo.

mine was an import, probably left the factory at different times. Not too bothered, got official Renault ones for £5.79, BARGAIN!!
