Do you live in Essex??? If so I'd like to ask two favours:

- I'm contemplating selling my 182 to save some money and considering a Ph-1 172 as a replacement so I can still enjoy driving. Is there anyone in Essex with one of these that I could have a look round and get some idea of what there like?

- Secondly, if I keep my car, I will be keeping it long term and might do some light modifications such as suspension/ exhuast/ filter etc. Does anyone in Essex have fitted to the 1*2 Eibach Sportlines that would take me for a drive so I could get an idea of the ride quality?

Yeah but there aren't any in Essex for a while I don't think

Not sure to be honest, theres quite a range in price from what I read on here and car pricing guides etc. If I did sell it I probably wouldn't be putting it up for sale till April anyway.

It's an Oct 2005 55 reg, both cup packs, I.D. Liquid Yellow. Just passed 24000 miles and both services by Renault, my dad is a Renault mechanic so it's been well looked after. All the rest is standard. only bad points is the usual stone chips on the lower bonnet/ bumper

Nope not me matey. I have 172 cup with standard turinis 52 plate minter if i do say so myself. Good mechanics at Darlingtons shame the front of house ie service department have there heads stuck up there arse's

I can't say much for most of them up there, especially people out front!!!!

I only let my dad and maybe a few of the others there work on my car. No real reason why but I know I can trust them so I stick with them. Bit of a snob really. It's handy when I get a small problem, my car gets pampered if it's not running right.

Would like to say a big thankyou to Dcds4 for letting me check out his Ph-1 172 and take it for a test drive. It is one very clean car!

I can easily say that I could still enjoy driving if I changed to one of these, there is still the same characteristics but some subtle differences to keep me entertained
