Do you need a special tool for changing pads?

Car  R26
When I get the clio im looking to buy, I will need to change the brake pads (front and back).

I have a mate you says he'll do it for a few beers, but my question is do I need any specialist tools to remove the callipers etc?
Or to put it simply, do I need any other tools apart from the obvious?

Many thanks!

P.S. Has anyone bought replacement pads from Halfords? Any good?

Soem people recomend a Windback tool for the Rear Pads but I managed it with just a screwdriver,

Can all be done with your Normal, Spanners etc.

I went to GSF for my Pads and Disks

The rears can be wound back using a flat blade screwdriver laid across the piston.

The fronts can be pushed in by using a hammer with the head against your chest and the handle into the piston then pull the caliper back towards you.

I got some Halfords pads for the 182 when i was returning it to standard in order to sell it. I'm still using them now (got Pagid Blue's to fit) and for the road I think they are pretty good for the money - £13 with my trade card. Would never consider using them on a track or if I drove like a tw@ on the road, but for work and back with a little spirited driving, they are fine.
Front pads are around 10mins to change both sides
Rears - 15mins
No special tools
