Dodgy insurance claim

Ive had a letter through from tesco saying a third party has reported an incident and a claim has been made against me at a time where my car was broken down and I was in bed! They said dont worry as details may have been entered into the database wrong. Is this common does anyone know? Its worrying as I couldnt have driven the car even if i wanted to.

I had this once in my last company, apparently I went into the back of someone at a roundabout in Sunbury, funny as I had proof that the van I was supposed to have crashed was parked in a car park in Waterloo at the time....

Moo had this happen to him the other day he recieved an e mail saying he'd been at fault in a 3 car accident (would've been one hell of a mess hitting 2 cars in a vx220 lol) and that there was a claim being made against him. He rang the insurance company, they followed it up and rang him back to say it was all a mistake and no further action will be taken. Most likely turn out the same for you hopefully.
