dodgy speedo, can someone help??

My speedo has been playing up the past two days, one minute it works fine next it stops working all together. anyone here know why this might be happening?

dodgy connection? take out your dash and have a fiddle at the back of the dials.

yeh thats wot i was thinking, had my car lowered, maybe wire has come lose cos of the harder ride.

doesnt it readings from the ABS sensors?
