Right I don't really know much about detailing. I've always had my cars cleaned at work. But I fancy trying to get into it plus I think it would be kind of relaxing. So I've had a look at what to get and I am thinking dodo juice but is it any good? Should I look at something else? Any help would be great!

Depends which products from the brand you're looking. Generally pretty good easy to use products. Not the best but certainly not the worst

What are you specifically looking at? Do you have a good wsash technique? Car decontamination, swirled etc etc

Technique??? Nope not at all lol I've got a jet wash and 100s of buckets and that's about it I am totally new at this! But I really want to give it ago!

I was planing on just sticking with one brand but if it's best getting a mix then I'll do that. The cars are all good no swirls i just want keep them looking good! Ill still be getting the my cars cleaned at work and the guy who does them uses AG all the time. I just wanted to do it as a bit of relaxing time and to see if there was much of a difference.

Get some orange crush. I really want to sniff it

Halfords have an ag detailing collection kit for £60ish. I bought it last night along with a clay bar kit. Seems a good starting point :)

Colour charging does have the tiniest, tiniest amount of affect on the car depending on which DJ wax you get, as long as the car is white or similar, and do 4+ layers, otherwise you won't notice the difference. Orange crush does.leave quite a nice warm glow though

Start off by reading all the sticky'd threads at the top of the section. Get your wash technique right. Also these guys at work what do they do and use when cleaning the car, as they might use stuff that will not only strip all the dirt off, but also any waxes or sealants that you put in so all your hard work is wasted.

It's one guy that comes and he uses AG. He always dose a good job (well I think he dose) I'll have a good luck at the sticky's.

All I would say if you are new to detailing and the idea behind it, don't assume that the more a product costs the better the results.

You hear a lot of people raving about the finish from a pricey wax they've just used where as the finish is all in the prep work. The wax protects the finished left by the claying, decontaminating, correcting of your paint work.

There's a lot of snobbery in detailing which I know I fell for when I was first into it.
