does anyone know about dect handsets?

i have a main unit already that is plugged into my voip setup.

basically i want another handset to go with my original base unit.

can i just buy any other dect handset no matter what make and model, or do i need to buy the same make as i already have?

I would imagine the same, due to the features on the phone, not sure. I'm guessing if you could have different some features would be missing.

You can buy any regardless of features.. you just need to make sure its 'GAP' compatable (inc your base station), most are.

I have a mix of Philip's, Sony and Panasonic DECT phones on my home exchange.

They all work, no problem.

okay, i basically have a phillips dect 122. it was just a cheapo one i bought to go with my router so i could use the voip side of things cordlessly. anyone know if the 122 is gap compatible?
