Dogbone mount bushes

  Clio 172
Have a set of powerflex dogbone mount bushes here to fit to my ph1 172 with the inline type mount. Just before i start, how do i get the old bushes out??

if you have/know someone with a bench mounted vice, that'd do it (using a suitable press, obviously - piece of exhaust pipe, etc). or you could probably hammer it out if you were careful and supported the surrounding alloy on a flat surface

ed. if the bushes are the same design as the Ph2's, they're bonded to a steel outer - which is what you're trying to remove from the alloy arm

Christ knows!

I've heard of a few people 'twatting them out'.

For the sake of a tenner, i'd want it done properly.

Do it in a vice. Did some on a landrover the other day, cut straight through them then just pushed them out.

No, they're a different design to the ph2 alright, they're the same as the mk1 clios, like this..http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2517

as far as i know there are two bushes to each end, 4 altogether, and 2 small metal sleeves
