Bloody hell I disappear for a few days and look what happened...
Members - DONT worry about what order the Clios are going in! Thats what Cliosport admin staff are for - so you dont need to fuss about how to run a show stand!
All we ask is that you turn up on time and leave everything else to us.
I dont know where these crazy ideas came from but take it from me; no model of Clio has any more prominence than any other, although obviously there is a greater proportion of 1.8/2.0 Clios in the club than the 1.2/1.4 models but all Clios are just as worthy at our shows. In fact if anything the smaller-engined Clios are more important at shows like Donny South, because I would have thought they have more real world appeal to the majority of visitors to the show. After all, not everyone can afford a brand new V6 or 172, let alone mod it as well. But my starting point, and a lot of other peoples, was a 1.4 RT, then I moved onto a valver. Which is still off the road by the way, so wont be at the mailto:show...I@m">show...I m hoping for an appearance at Trax.
Anyway, if theres anyone whos been put off going by this nonsense on here, then forget any ideas of having a lie-in Sunday morning and get your arse down to the show. One of the reasons Cliosport was formed was to give us the strength of numbers to put on show stands successfully, which we will do again this year at Donny South. I dont want members getting upset about things like this - and if you are, put yourself in my position: Im Cliosport events manager and Ive not been able to take my car to a single show, rolling road, quarter miling day or any event except the Euro tour, SINCE LAST DECEMBER and Ill be very lucky to even have it back on the road in time for Trax!
So count yourselves lucky that you lot can even show your Clios at all!
Ill see you all there
