  An old banger!

good points kis172.......my opinion is that it would be nice to see all the williams lined up together, apart from mine i have only ever seen a handfull of them!! getting over 5 together in one place at the same time would be amazing!!

just my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kel you are coming!! we are a clio club, chloe hasnt changed much she is still the same really. Who cares if cars have been modded each to their own i much prefer normal looking cars as god intended them to be.

besides chloe wants to meet all the other clios and i cant be doing with her moaning at me coz not all the clios havent turned up!!!! geez headache ill get from her!!!

you can park next to chloe she wont mind shes happy to talk to anyone. ps who has the same colour car as me, i think jamie has, thats about it!!!

lets just park neatly thats the best way.

*ignoring Mr Browns harsh comments, cus hes a b**ch*

Whats going to happen then? Cus it would be best to sort out the order of cars now.. so we can all drive up when needed.. else everyone will be there, and you wont be able to move... people will get mad and just get out of their cars, and we have a French Car Show sort of organisation thing going on.. heh.

In that case, someone needs to decide whos "most modded".. else well all get there, all at once.. and itll be carnage.

We cant decide anything until weve seen the pitch, which will be on Saturday afternoon. Nobody will be allowed to drive on the pitch until they are told, then they will be told where to park. (Its the only way we are going to fit 50 cars on it!). We will probably pick the best cars for the front.

Then you need a list of the "best cars" else its another thing to sort out in a short time frame.

i would like to add the williams1 im buying is modded quite a bit, bodykit, big gold wheels, spoiler, quads!

Daz, we might just decide on the day, else well have loads of emails to sort through, when its best to do it by eye. Last year nearly everybody walked round all the cars, very few people just walked past and only looked at the front ones, so dont think your car will get ignored if its at the back.

Different wheels, lowered, tinted windows, rear spoiler, colour coded strips, amp, sub box, etc. etc. But I still dont mind going at the back! :D

Seeing as Bubbles isnt organising this any more, we will probably just put the cars in any order. If you are going on the drag strip, make sure to let us know. We will still try and get the head turning cars at the front.

Make a list of much modded cars.. get them at the front.. all next to each other - get the crowds in!

Then put a Williams 1,2,3 together.. (One of each..). (Standard)

Then put a 16v next to that.. with an RT (All standard-ish again!)

Then, a Mk1 172, a Mk2 172 and a Cup together... followed by a Mk2 1.2/1.4/1.6 and then a Mk1 1.2/1.4/1.6.. (Standard-ish!)

That way - we show off how great the Clios are!

Then a random array of mint cars behind that - in any order the person wants to park, as long as it looks orderly.

Then get some sort of order behind - maybe colour/model etc.. or just let people decide what they want.

Anyone think this is good?

why is bubbles not doing it now then?
Weve persuaded her to come to a party on Saturday night instead, so she may not be the first one down there on Sunday after all.

Ive been selected to be CAR ORGANISER on the day of the Donny south show, with the help of a few others ofcourse (GOD HELP ME!) And i would really appreciate Cliosports Imput on this.. Should the Cars be Line up in..

Colour, (Red, blue, black, Silver, Other) or
Model, (172, 16v/RSI, 1.2/1.4 )
well, you were "selected" and now a party is more important - well ......

Bloody hell I disappear for a few days and look what happened...

Members - DONT worry about what order the Clios are going in! Thats what Cliosport admin staff are for - so you dont need to fuss about how to run a show stand!:) All we ask is that you turn up on time and leave everything else to us.

I dont know where these crazy ideas came from but take it from me; no model of Clio has any more prominence than any other, although obviously there is a greater proportion of 1.8/2.0 Clios in the club than the 1.2/1.4 models but all Clios are just as worthy at our shows. In fact if anything the smaller-engined Clios are more important at shows like Donny South, because I would have thought they have more real world appeal to the majority of visitors to the show. After all, not everyone can afford a brand new V6 or 172, let alone mod it as well. But my starting point, and a lot of other peoples, was a 1.4 RT, then I moved onto a valver. Which is still off the road by the way, so wont be at the mailto:show...I@m">show...I m hoping for an appearance at Trax.

Anyway, if theres anyone whos been put off going by this nonsense on here, then forget any ideas of having a lie-in Sunday morning and get your arse down to the show. One of the reasons Cliosport was formed was to give us the strength of numbers to put on show stands successfully, which we will do again this year at Donny South. I dont want members getting upset about things like this - and if you are, put yourself in my position: Im Cliosport events manager and Ive not been able to take my car to a single show, rolling road, quarter miling day or any event except the Euro tour, SINCE LAST DECEMBER and Ill be very lucky to even have it back on the road in time for Trax! :(So count yourselves lucky that you lot can even show your Clios at all!

Ill see you all there :D

Well seeing as the original post was what to do about the lineup because Bubbles, who was organising it, asked us.

So thats why we were on about the order..

Lets just hope we dont have another French Car Show, where no one apart from ClioSport people went round the stand hardly, cus it was just a carpark of Clios... rather than being organised.

I dont think anyone was put off at all about the lineup.. people were just offering ideas as to how to organise it best for the club.. and to attract and get people looking at every Clio.. rather than just a V6.. like usually happens for some reason.

Fair enough Daz. There are people whove been put off by this though, hopefully not permanently. Its just one of those things I suppose.

I dont think so - some people are just worried their cars wont get viewed/arnt worthy of going on the stand - which is very wrong - people were just putting ideas forward so everyones car got viewed by everyone.. so really, making it possible for people to walk through the stand easily is a must.

Every Clio, and Im sure its been stressed before, is worthy of being on the stand, no matter how standard/modified it is..

People I think were just happy to put their ideas forward.. and get some member feedback rather than it being just the Admins who had a say in the setup..

We all get like it tho - Ive many a time wondered if the club is for me.. I have a measly 60bhp under the bonnet.. hardly ClioSPORT is it.. but you realise that its not about power/engine at all (well, a little), but about being part of the Club.. maybe we should rename it to ClioClub.net or something.. hehe.

Anyway, enough waffling from me!

See everyone on Sunday! Remember to say Hi!!!!! (Oh, and Ill have normal hair colour too!)

  BMW 320d Sport

LOL yeah but look at Saxo Sports Club - none of their cars even do over a hundred!

Anyway, any car is capable of being thrashed whatever the size of the engine - thats whats important!

Daz, I agree. The original post was only to get member feedback on how best to line up the cars. If people have an opinion they should post it and let us know. Also remember that Donny is not like the FCS, there are a LOT more people at Donny, its a much bigger show, and judging by last year, ALL the cars got looked at. It made no difference what model car either.

Ill see all of you on Sunday. No excuses!

omg, thats twice this week Ive agreed with you Daz. Im getting worried now...

Heh, its ok Jas.. everyone does eventually - they just have to realise the fact that Im always right. :D

Youll see sense someday Mr Jas.. Probably Sunday when Mr PHP Book is coming at ya at a fair old pace.. hah.
