Door Adjust ment

  Lunar Mk1 & Flamer

Cant shut drivers door all the way, but if you lean on it, it will. Any way to adjust it or have i fcked the door!

My passenger side does the same - looks like someone has tried to get into the car but not managed it - i could do with the same advise coz it looks crap when the door isnt flush. Sounds like some metal has been bent perhaps - either the door arm or the catch for the locking mechanism. Best thing to do is to take the door off and assess the damage - it should be fixable tho - not a major job. Im doing that this weekend....

Youve probably bent the door hinge pins !! They are only a couple of quid from renault and a peice of piss to fit !! Replace them both. Get a mate to hold the door while you undo the old one (big torx bit) and then replace it with a new en !! Remember to grease up the new en before you put it in !! If that doesnt work you may have damaged the inside where the pin is held. For this youll need to drill out any imperfections in the hinge and then sheath the new pin to the correct width.

Over and out Craig

you can adjust the door lock striker plate on the b pillar.just undo the torx screws and adjust its position to see if that helps.
