I've been messing with different base colours and candy red tint to see what different effects you get.

I grabbed some carbon cloth and peel ply off cuts from my mate this evening funnily enough. Just need to find a reasonably priced pair of bullets to have a go at carbon skinning them now

184387194176 Ebay number, this is black on clear carbon.

152457485846 activator.

184387190463 clear carbon fibre, like what I used on my door bullets.

Couple of things I have learnt.

#1 the water needs to be around 30°c
#2 the film needs 120 seconds to soak or until all the wrinkles disappear.
#3 when you spray the activator make sure it looks like glass after you have sprayed it. You can understand over activate.
#4 dip slowly or you stretch the film and it looks crap.
#5 you need to dam around the film as when you activate it it expands and will just float off and fall to bits.
#6 the surface of the water each time need to be immaculate, anything on the surface will contaminate your dip.
#7 after your dip let it sit for 5 minutes before washing the PVA off it seems to take better.
#8 it doesnt like to stick to any shiney surface, just washes straight off.
9# use tape around your edges or the film will curl up.

Think that's it really
