Wont stop the door cards rattling mate. I take it you have removed the door cards at some point?

Make sure you got all the stupid screws along the bottom of the door in and start punching random areas of the door where u believe there to be a clip. Works for me.

Dynamat wont stop the door cards rattling? I think youll find thats exactly what it will do buddy.

1 - it stops any of the body work resonating

2 - it reduces any gaps between the door cards and the bodywork (where rattling is caused)

3 - it reduces road noise

4 - Weighs your car down

its like applying thick sheets of tar to your doors - abit like that brown bread stuff. Id sooner put up with rattles.,

not if you get dynamat extreme, it does not weigh much at all and is used on the McLaren F1, the whole of the inside is coated in it.

Dynamat is quite easy. You remove the door cards that are rattling, and put dynamet along the contact areas between the door card and the bodywork. When you put your door card back on it will be tight against the dynamat covered bodywork and will not beable to rattle.

I have done this over 100 times, we do it all the time in the shop and it does stop door cards rattling

yeah, i stuck flashing tape everywhere i could, dynamat is better though. i used loft insulation to insulate rear quarters it stooped the rattles, but i have since found out it is rubbish for sound insulation, (due to it being an open fibre or something) so ill change that sometime in the future.

Dynamat will only stop the rattle if you are fotunate enough to find the rattle and place the dynamat in that exact position.

I have my boot floor pan, my boot lid, my rear arches and he sides of my boot and the front doors (on the metal panels not the plastic) covered in Dynamat and dynamat extreme. Dynamat extreme is lovely to work with but is still a b**ch and horrible gooey stuff to stick. I would not rely on it to stop interior panels rattling unless you are willing to cover the whole interior panel without gaps (except where the clips are present). Dunno about anyone else but I reckon thats a good couple of hours per door to do a proper job.

Plus theres the problem of overdoing it. Dynamat is quite thick and Id have to make my door card not fit. Plus it aint exactly cost effective. The door clips actually AINT that bad if they are ALL attached the door does not rattle.

Dont get me wrong...dynamat is lovely stuff and i loved the effect it gave my door speakers....but i wouldnt bother forking out all the time and effort unless I was an ICE fanatic. One little rattle can work out £60 for a door kit I think...and when it could be a loose clip fixed for nothing...thats a lotta cash.
