Door lock mechanism refitting

hi all, i have had to change my door lock in the drivers rear door due to it sometimes not unlocking/locking, i am having great trouble in finding out how the little bar that goes from the door handle to the lock itself, its the one that pulls the lock when you pull the handle, has anyone got a diagram as to how the little bar goes back on, its doing my head in,, thanks.
