New check strap £2 from a scrappies or £14 odds from Renault job done.

In all honesty I found them to be s**t on the Clio anyway, very little resistance mid travel compared to most cars which have a fairly firm level of resistance. This is what they're like from new, I've had two RS Clio's from new and both were like it.

I'm always wary of passengers in the car with the door in winds. I had my passenger door creased (and essentially fecked) on my PGTT within a week of ownership.

Some people care, others don't. The knack is knowing which ones hold onto your door - even in calm weather. I always do it as a passenger in other peoples' cars - I just hope they return the favour. ;)

gally- check strap, cool, at least i have a name now.

turkish- i'll bear in mind that they may be s**t to start with.

darren s- i know what you mean about passengers. my best mates a door slammer.

i guess i could just drop a bit of rain water onto the joints, let it rust it up a bit, usually works :)
