not going on this video but drifting is actually judged pretty well....
they judge on
speed
entry angle
mid corner angle
amount of smoke
linking drifts
how technical the drift is
and then the crowd also make a huge part of the judging, when tsuido is ran (twin drift 2 cars) car a will lead first with car b following, car b has to put as much pressure as possible on to car a and try to overtake during a drift, then its reversed car b leads and car a follows applying pressure, it might look unfair running a 600bhp skyline against a 180bhp ae86 but its pretty well balanced the 86 can drift tighter and normally hit the corners at a faster speed, which it needs to do to get the drift, but the skyline can use its power etc....
it takes a huge amount of skill and its far from pointless or stupid...
