Just out of interest, how low has anyone got the MPG on a 172, or 182 for that matter, it's a lovely sunny day here in Devon, so I took mine for a bit of a razz across the moors, and wasn't hanging about, got her down to 24mpg, which I was quite impressed with, purely because being an old fella at 34 im usually pootling in a day dream and getting 35mpg!

Generally get 35-40 mpg driving to work and back throughout the week etc.

Well this will make you laarf, when my baby son was born, some nights the only way to get him to sleep was to take for a drive, and the sound of the magnex I reckon would send him off, or it may have been the fact that I was pootling and got 41.7mpg!

I've had mine down to 14mpg , just after resetting the trip comp and giving it some . I average around 28 mpg all the time .

Dont laugh but best i have had is 52mpg got it yesterday driving home from work just seeing if 50+ could be done. Never give it beans for to long as its not worth it these day but 33mpg with some spirited driving included.

19mpg for me! i'm at 35.8 at the min thats for the last 400m! but was at 36 b4 i had a play 2day and got it down to 35.5!
