Drive Shafts are there any differences at all??

Hello i need a new drivers side drive shaft so i have been ringing round places. now renault say there are two different ones it could be and if i fit the wrong onw it will vibrate and my airbags will go off in my face, this sounds like a tall tail to make me buy one off them.

I have also rang andrew page who are the cheapest so far at about 100 quid but on there system it says check abs ring size and says it should be 15mm. would this make a difference.

The other quote ive had is from another local motor factors for about 130 the didnt say anything about different ones.

anyone have any light to shed on this or can i just go and get the one from andrew page?

from what ive gathered, there is a diffrent number of teeth on the abs ring possibly between the dynamique and the sport models i think the sport's have a few more teeth...probably wrong though :S

Assuming your old abs rings are usable just swop them if there not right as such.

You won't set the airbag off though unless you messed up and danaged somehtign when installing them.
