Driver door not unlocking Central locking

Hello,
I've tried searching for my issues but have had no luck, so I'm creating a new thread.
My Mk2 pahse 2 1.2 started having a weird issue with the central locking, where it seems that the central locking is not "connected" to the driver door.
For example, when unlocking the car with the key fob, the driver door won't unlock and I'll have to use the barrel to unlock it. Reverse for locking. It also seems when using the key barrel it won't have any effect on the other doors, though I fail to remember if that was the case previously but I assume it would open all doors since it is central locking.

Any ideias on what it might be?

I tried turning off the battery and left the car for a few hours, and plugged it back in.
When testing again, unlocking with the remote also unlocks the driver door, but the rest remains the same.

I'm at a loss on what to try.

On my 1.2 Mk3 facelift, the keyfob only unlocks the drivers side and boot. To unlock the passenger side, I either use the key in the lock, or use the internal buttons.
