Drivers side door not central locking?

Anyone any ideas?

Can't hear the motor at all, so presume it's that, or are there any fuses specific to that door?

I'm going to try & lock it with the key now so I guess that will tell me if it's working at all, or if it's a central locking fault?


edit; Doesn't work when I lock the passenger door with the key either! Feck!

Can this also be moved to the Electrical section, put it in the wrong place

Wiring in the rubber boot between door and the A pillar maybe? Fatigue may have broken one or two?

Could be this, noticed a creaking noise a few days ago, perhaps part of the same thing?

Gives me enough to go on tonight, hopefully I can get it sorted

Just thought i'd update everyone!

Took the doorcard off - pretty corroded connections so I took the door mechanism off, cleaned up the connections on that & cleaned up the connections on the loom and hey presto, works again

Job done, no money spent!

which connectors need cleaning?

The connector that connects to the locking mechanism at the very outside of the door, when you take the door card off it'll make sense!

3 bolts on the side of the door to get locking mechanism out to clean that, cable just unplugs easy, I followed the fubar guide in guides section for removing the door card!

My'n started doing it today, just gave it a good shut then it locked.......when In doubt.........
