Mines the same. squeaked going over bumps and round bends, the dealer used one of their stock phrases " Its your seat runners, its a common fault".
Booked car in for dealer to fit new ones but when I went to pick the car up they hadnt done it because "Your car is an import and the runners are different", and that they had sent off a technical report to renault about it. I had a tounge in cheek discussion with the bloke about how Renault must have a huge wharehouse full of different parts for cars built for different countries. The dealers where suposed to get back to me but its now been over a month and Ive not heard a thing.
However, they took out my seat and refitted it and Ive not had the problem since!
I took mine in and the service guy said, "Your drivers seat does the same". I got out and shook it, to show him it didnt knock in the runners. He then said "Its not as bad as our courtesey cars". To which I replied "Its not one of your courtesey cars though is it? Its mine and its only 2 weeks old". He then said that replacing the runners might make the sliding action stiff, like I cared.
Anyway, mine is also an import, he took the VIN number, entered it on the system, made the booking, then three weeks later carried out the job as well as replacing the external temperature gauge. All good service really.
The guy is talking out of his backside. The parts are the same, but I believe the part numbers may be different. They can just order them for a UK car, as thats the territory your car was built for. They all come from the same place.
