driveshaft help!

  clio 172
I just finished putting new discs and pads on my 172 and realised that my driverside driveshaft boot is split and chucking out grease... my driveshaft is NOT KNOCKING so ..... does this mean i need a new driveshaft or can i just change the boot and re-grease and it will be fine???

cheers

depends if there is any damage to the CV joint, shouldn't be anyways you will just need to change the boot..mine was changed earlier today and at last no more knocking :D

On the 172's changing just the boot is a b**ch, but can be done. Depending how long you've been driving it split depends if you can just change the boot. If you havent been driving it long/for many miles then just change the boot, re-grease and off you go.
