Have a 172 ph2 and fitted new offside drive shaft tried driving and heard a grinding which was the abs ring had come loose and moved then lifted whole front of car off the ground on axle stands and tried driving but only the left hand side wheel turns any one had this or any ideas as what could be wrong much appreciated cheers

Also constant grinding when driving forward or reverse

Well if the abs ring has come off the shaft my first thought would be that it's something to do with that

Sorted abs ring wasn' the problem when clutch is pressed there' no grinding not even in neutral but as soon as i release the clutch in all gear it starts grinding any help?

If with the clutch released, in neutral, there is no grinding, it must be from the gearbox, maybe a bearing.

sleeve all the way on the splines?

Yeah sleeve is all the way on and not sure what the problem was but gave it a little run tonight for first time in 3 days and seem to have shut up for time being so not really sure lol
