driveshafts

i'm was going to try and fit my 2nd hand driveshaft tomorrow, noticed while getting the disc and balljoint of that the abs sensor looks different, thought nothing of it then noticed the teeth on the driveshafts that the sensor points on are different too. theirs about twice as many on the new driveshaft.
it was from a newer car did they change this?will it work?
i'm thinking it won't without the abs being re-calibrated(if possible) so would i be better of trying to get another one?

Sorry don;t know much about mk2 clios but if the teeth aren't the same im guessing they updated it and it wouldn't work?

But i'd wait for someone to reply who knows what they are talking about ;)

yes matey you need to get a drive shaft that matches up with abs sensors ect. its to much hasle and work to change the whole thing just over a drive shaft. make sure you get a shaft off a mk2 phase3 or even beeter the same year as yours but all 1.2 16v from late 01-05 should fit.

this was of a mk2 ph3 bud exact same hub and shaft bar the abs parts.i'm sure the driveshaft ain't going to work but can anyone tell me if the hub will.the abs sensor looks slightly different but it's still just two wires so as long as i put it on with my own driveshaft will it work?

for reference of anyone who buys 2nd hand drivehshafts or hubs in the future they changed these not all mk2 ph3 are the same.the abs teeth are different the sensor is also different it has male end instead of female ends!
